Don't let the past hold you back,
cause soon you'll realise that life is short
Live it.

Dedicated to Jieyi:
I realised that ignorance had gotten a hold of me.
Living in my own comfort zone, thinking that everything was the way the supposed to be.
I have a family; that's meant to be.
I have a healthy body; that's normal.
I have good friends around me; it's supposed to be mine.
I have to chance to study; i complain.
I live without fear of earthquakes or flood; Singapore WON'T have them.
I have clothes to wear, food to eat; my closet wants renewing and can't eat whatever i want, as i have to take my diet and health into consideration.
I have a proper roof over me; why not?
All these are little details of blessings that God has given me, and yet i have taken them for granted.
What happens one day if God take away them?
Suddenly think of God and cry for help from him?
Realise that in life, we pray to God only when we're in need, or when we're in trouble.
In other words, is God our 'immediate source of blessing'?
Yes, of course he is, but we tends to leave him behind when we're being blessed,
and search frantically for him when trouble befalls on us.
Is this what you call being someone who loves God??
God bless us and we take them for granted; when God takes them away, we blame him for being cruel, unfair.
In the first place, who's the one being unfair?
People are struggling just to live. now.
Earthquakes that caused buildings to collapse and the homeless people are feeling helpless. But yet, they have to will to live on.
People trapped in the ruins, but still trying very hard to keep their eyes and heart open.
Their families went on searching for them aimlessly, totally no idea their family members are alive or dead.
People with serious financial problems eats bread or scavenge for food to get by each day.
People want to study but they were restricted by their country's education limitation.
People have broken families and have no friends.
People who are physically disabled and yearns just to know what's the world outside.
Life is hard, yes, but if we choose to live in the perspective that sees thing more positively, thanking God for what we already have and what we dont have, life would be much more joyful and meaningful.
So, be grateful for what you have, and ask God for what you want for he is always ready to welcome us to talk to him. For God says:
''Ask and it will be given to you; seek and you will find; knock and the door wil be opened to you. For everyone who ask receives; he who seeks finds; and to him who knocks, the door will be opened.'' Matt 7:1-8

Jieyi, when you read this post, be reminded of God's graciousness and love for you and stop grumbling about your life.
You are more blessed than many more unfortunated people.
At least you have God in your life.

All the praise and thanks unto the Lord. :D
